Holiday Baking 2010

Like all of you, we’ve been so busy running here and there and celebrating the holidays with our family.  And, our other house just went on the market today!  So, it’s not that we haven’t been baking, it’s just that I haven’t had time to post everything.  Here is a quick synopsis for your drooling pleasure!
Christmas Cookies for John’s Family
Rugelach from Dorie Greenspan’s Baking From My Home To Yours – we created 4 flavor combinations:
1 – Blackberry Jam with Pecans, mini Chocolate Chips, and Cinnamon Sugar
2 – Black Cherry Jam with Walnuts, mini Chocolate Chips, and Cinnamon Sugar
3 – Butter, Pecans, mini Chocolate Chips, and Cinnamon Sugar
4 – Butter, Walnuts, mini Cinnamon Chips, and Cinnamon Sugar

My Brother’s Birthday Cake from Baking From My Home To Yours
What could be better than home-made caramel-coated peanuts on top of a brownie cake?  My brother loved Dorie’s Caramel-Peanut-Topped Brownie Cake!  It was easy to make, and fun to eat!

Lemon-Poppyseed Muffins from Baking From My Home To Yours  After all the fun died down, John and I enjoyed these flavorful muffins for breakfast on New Year’s Eve.
