The Creamy Onion Gravy is incredible and would be good with chicken, pork, or steak as well.
Mashed Potatoes
Peel and cube 6 – 8 medium Russet Potatoes.
Place them in a large saucepan and cover with water.
Add 1 teaspoon of Salt to the water and boil for 15 – 20 minutes over medium-high heat until the Potatoes can be easily pierced with a fork.
Turn off heat.
Strain Potatoes and return to pan.
Add 1/4 cup Butter.
1/2 cup Sour Cream.
Salt and Pepper, to taste.
Mash with a Potato Masher until they reach the desired consistency.
Clean and cut Broccoli crowns into bite-size pieces.
Place in a small saucepan with about 2 inches of water.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Cover and steam for 10 minutes.
Top with small bits of butter.

A hearty and well-balanced weekend meal.
Gosh, this looks wonderful, Susan! I love the addition of cheese and veggies to your meatloaf…mmmmm. Yeah, I haven’t been too excited about November’s FFwD either…but since I never got around to nominating or voting, I’m just going with the flow. I may just have to make a whole other lamb stew in 2 weeks…I’ve tortured Bill enough with curries…and I know it wouldn’t be well received. What are you making on the Friday after Thanksgiving?
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! xo
Meatloaf is a huge fav of mine and you paired it with best partner it could wish for, the mashed potato! Good job.
Take care
Susan, Meatloaf is one of my favorite things. The creamy onion gravy looks awesome! As always a beautiful meal!
The meatloaf looks delicious, but it’s the onion gravy that I’m in love with!
