A lot of bloggers delight in trying new things – myself included.
That’s why I belong to three on-line cooking groups:
Cellentani with Bolognese Sauce
However, John and I love returning to tried and true recipes. We don’t re-post them often, but it’s been a long time since we featured our delicious Bolognese Sauce. Although Bolognese is traditionally served over Fettucine, tonight we served it with Cellentani. The shorter pastas are a little less messy to eat and capture lots of sauce. (Some professional pasta maker just shook his head and spit out, “Americana,” with his hands raised helplessly! To him, I apologize.)
I also used Novy Ranches grass-fed ground beef which made this sauce even more delicious!

I really wanted to serve this pasta with fresh Foccacia bread and was thrilled to find this recipe from King Arthur Flour that goes from yeast to bread in less than 2 hours. I didn’t have any of the optional special ingredients, so left them our (I sense a KAF order coming up soon…). I used plain Olive Oil inside the bread and to grease the pan, but topped the bread with Basil Olive Oil , Tuscan Sunset herbs, and Sea Salt.
This bread is so simple, versatile, and delicious! And, we have enough left to make delicious sandwiches tomorrow!
Buon Appetito!

Some food items are definitely worth revisiting 🙂 Frankly, nothing beats a good foccaccia fresh out of the oven.

That bird doesn’t look real – great photo!
I do the same thing you two do, use a pasta that holds the sauce AND doesn’t spew all over everything. Anything that can help on a weeknight I’m all for.
Looks delicious.

Now that’s a great meal. An amazing meal! Bolognese sauce and foccacia. I love it. There is no food more comforting to me than bread and pasta.

I have made this bread before but don’t make it very often because I would eat the whole thing … it’s extremely good but bread & pasta are my downfall 🙂
