Pears steeped in Whiskey sauce and prepared tart filled with Almond Cream |
This week’s Baked Sunday Mornings challenge is for Whiskey Pear Tart which is a lovely autumn dessert! There is nothing difficult about this tart, but you have to plan ahead. The pears are steeped overnight and the pastry has to rest in the refrigerator as well. The tart is lined with almond cream and slices of pears are nestled into it. After it’s baked, it’s brushed with a wonderful whiskey glaze.
Brushing the tart with Whiskey Sauce |
Eating this tart is a sensory experience! It’s sweet, creamy, and a little crunchy with a nice tart finish from the Whiskey. We enjoyed it so much that I’m thinking of making it for Thanksgiving. It’s very elegant.
Grab a fork for a truly unique taste sensation!
Enjoy! |

After seeing your and Mark’s tarts, I wish I had a rectangular pan! You both had a thicker crust and more crowded pears. Looks delicious!
