Put your Lacy Panties on! |
Yes, you read that right!
Lacy Panty Cakes! Woo Hoo! Aren’t they mysterious? Do you make them while wearing lacy panties? Do you eat them while wearing your lacy panties?
I’ll never tell! What I will tell you is that they’re amazing! And, let’s just say that sauce may inspire you to buy some lacy panties!

John’s favorite mug! |
We made these for breakfast, but you can have them anytime. They would be a wonderful treat for overnight guests. I thought the graham cracker crumbs would make the pancakes crunchy, but they blended right in to these light, sweet, delicious cakes that are kissed with whiskey. But, wait, there’s more…the whiskey sauce…which is amazing! It’s a brown sugar caramel sauce that’s served warm over the warm pancakes. We served them with bacon.

Just fabulous! |
We will be sure to make these when our nephews, Jonathan & Jordan, come to visit. John graduated from high school in Aberdeen, Scotland, where he acquired a taste for whiskey and learned all about it. Good uncle that he is, he’s sharing his knowledge with our nephews and giving them tasting lessons. So, imagine how much they’d enjoy whiskey for breakfast!

What a fun and funny name Susan! They sound wonderful and that sauce sounds like it would be nice on all kinds of things!
It looks really amazing !
When I saw the title of the post, I had to first supress a school girl giggle and secondly double check whose blog I was on 🙂
P.S. Whiskey sauce – you had me right there.
Have a lovely day!
Everything about this post sounds delicious Karen! I can´t get enought whisky in my food, it´s such an extraordinary flavoring. Really gorgeous pancakes. Have a great day!
Susan, they look delicious- enough to give me the incentive to make them! Great pics too!
Yay, glad to see another big fan of this recipe! The whiskey sauce truly is amazing — and I love the photo of your plate of sugar-dusted lacy panty cakes, so pretty!
Love the addition of powdered sugar to your pancakes!! I too loved the whiskey sauce. I can’t wait to try it on ice cream. The pancakes however, I didn’t enjoy as much. But I’m glad I tried them!
What a curious name…and serving them with a caramel whiskey sauce sounds so decadent and wonderful! YUM!
Glad you enjoyed these! Super pretty pictures, as always!
They sure do look good! Wanted to make these but didn’t have the time. Will surely have to give them a try sometime soon.
I’m laughing out loud over that name! The pancakes sound great, but it’s the whiskey sauce I love!
Oh my whiskey sauce? yes please.
Ooooo….Whiskey sauce! These sound fantastic and look so delicious, Susan! I have to give them a try!
Susan – I love the whiskey sauce! What a great idea for pancakes, waffles and so many other things – baked French toast, especially! ~ David
