This fabulous recipe comes from The View from Great Island. Sue is a food blogger from Los Angeles which is very close to where we live. Her food photography is stunning and her recipes are inviting. We had Forbidden Rice from Lotus Foods in our pantry and I’d been looking for a special recipe for it when I saw this post on Sue’s blog – it was kismet!

Just delicious! |
Of course, John makes all the Chinese food in our house, so I was the sous chef. I made the salads and chopped away. This dish combines flavors and textures in a way that is sure to delight your palate! And the black rice really sets it off. (I substituted Celery for the Green Bell Peppers because I can’t eat them.)
Enjoy!

I LOVE Sue’s blog! Isn’t she amazing? John’s looks really good too! My daughter was craving Asian food today-good think she didn’t see this!
Looks delicious, Susan! I love your kitty…so cute!
