|My birthday dinner in the garden! Yes, that’s a St. Germain Cocktail!|
I have to admit it, when it comes to my birthday, I’m spoiled! Now I know I like to talk about food, but I mean I was spoiled in so many ways that day! From all my gifts, one of which being a helicopter ride (I meant it when I said I was spoiled!), to the amazing food I had, I didn’t want the day to end. The helicopter ride is booked for later this year, Mom sorted it all through a website similar to Jettly I believe, and I truly cannot wait! But anyway, back to the actual day. My mom hosted a joint birthday dinner for my step-father and me. She made me a white cake with strawberries & whipped cream – one of my favorites! She also spoiled my step father though, by going out of her way to get one of these best tech gadgets for men – he loves all of that kind of stuff, so I know that he was really happy with his present. Me on the other hand, I was just happy with the food. My husband invited my dad and his wife, my brother and his wife, and our niece and her boyfriend over for a wonderful Cajun dinner party – and my niece made a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting, strawberries, and blueberries (post to follow). On my actual birthday, John took me to Griffith Observatory then to dinner at Holdren’s in Newbury Park. Last night, he made this wonderful dinner for me. Then, tonight, he took me to dinner at Saddle Peak Lodge in Malibu Canyon, where I actually ate Elk Tenderloin for dinner!
