Product Review: Bertolli Olive Oil Cooking Sprays & a Giveaway!

Since I grew up in Italy, I am very familiar with Bertolli products.  I was excited to be offered the chance to review their latest products and share them with you.  I received all three Bertolli Olive Oil Sprays and tried each one out according to its recommended uses.  And now, I get to share a set with you, too!

For Grilling Fish

We used the Olive Oil Spray on our fish grilling basket and directly on a piece of Halibut for grilling. With just a sprinkling of Tony Chachere’s Original Creole  Seasoning, we grilled our fish over medium heat for 6 minutes on each side.  It was cooked perfectly.
For Sticky Pasta

The Extra Virgin Olive Oil is meant to be sprayed directly on food so you can use it for a quick, light salad dressing.  We sprayed it on cooked pasta and tossed it to keep it from sticking together.  Since our pasta sauce was made with olive oil, it was perfect because it kept our spaghetti from sticking together without adding another layer of flavor to our sauce.

I used the Extra Light Olive Oil Spray to line a baking pan for a simple cake.  It was easy to use but didn’t provide the easy release of a similar spray made with flour, specifically for baking.

    I would use them to coat the pan before making my spinach and egg omelets.

    I am anxious to try these, especially the extra virgin. After grilling veggies, I like to add some fresh extra virgin olive oil to give them a fresh olive taste. This might be the perfect way to easily achieve that! ~ David
