Outer Spice: Grilled Rib-Eye Steaks for John’s Birthday Dinner!

July 10, 2014 by susanelester

We love cooking with herbs and spices.  It’s an easy way to add a lot of flavor to fish, meat, and vegetables.  And, as you know, we enjoy celebrating special occasions with Steak and Lobster.  We were lucky enough to be selected by Outer Spice to sample some of their wonderful spice blends, so we decided to try use their Original seasoning on a Boneless Rib-eye Steak.

A wonderful, flavorful blend of spices

Grilled Rib-Eye Steak with Outer Spice Original Rub

One hour before you’re ready to grill the steaks, take them out of the refrigerator and set them on a platter.
Rub Outer Spice Original seasoning it into both sides of the steak.
Allow it to come to room temperature.
Grill over medium-high flame for 5 minutes on each side, then move off flame and continue to grill for up to 15 minutes – depending on desired level of doneness.

We served this Steak with grilled Lobster, Au Gratin Potatoes, and Tomatoes Provencal.  The herbs and spices really set off the natural flavor of the Steak!  We’re looking forward to trying Outer Spice Original and Spicy in a variety of ways.  It’s a delicious and healthy way to add flavor to your fresh food.  You can use Outer Spice to make dips, rubs, marinades, or just sprinkle it on salads.
A great celebratory meal!
