Happy Holidays: Le Grand Courtage Champagne

Happy First Anniversary, Jonathan & Janae!

We were delighted when Le Grand Courtage sent us a few bottles of Grande Cuvée Blanc de Blancs Brut and Brut Rosé to sample. As luck would have it, last weekend was the only time that everyone on John’s side of the family could get together for Christmas, so we celebrated early this year. Between sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, nieces, nephews, and cousins, we had 14 people at our house. We celebrated the bounty of the season with quite a feast. For starters, John and I set out an assortment of cheeses with Prosciutto, Salami, nuts, dried fruit, olives, crostini, honey, and mustard. True to John’s Louisiana heritage, we served Beet and Fennel salad and Crawfish Etoufee with crusty French Bread for lunch.

Pink Champagne is my favorite!

Then, we all enjoyed Champagne, Champagne Cocktails, and a great assortment of cookies while we opened Christmas gifts. For the Champagne Cocktails, John placed a sugar cube in the bottom of the Champagne flute, soaked it in orange bitters, then filled the glass with sparkling Blanc de Blancs. This was a new treat for our niece and nephew who celebrated their first wedding anniversary this month! Others simply enjoyed the chilled Champagne. Our family is blessed with good cooks and the Champagne provided a lovely accompaniment to all the homemade desserts. The tiny bubbles are just enough to tickle your fancy. If you fancy making something similar to use, then you best start getting the champagne ready. If you don’t have any then you can easily buy champagne online and you’ll be sorted.

Champagne with berries is so festive!

Le Grand Courtage Blanc de Blancs smells like honey and pineapple and it’s easy to drink. Although it’s dry, full fruit flavors dance on your tongue. The Blanc de Blancs is crafted in France from a proprietary blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Colombard, and Ugni Blanc grapes. The Brut Rosé comes from Chardonnay, Ugni Blanc, and Gamay. I get excited just thinking about Pink Champagne! Slightly sweeter than it’s white partner, it’s a party just waiting to happen. From its lovely, translucent color, to its fresh berry flavor, the Brut Rose is really special.

Christmas Cookies Made with Love!

Vintner Tawnya Falkner creates this Champagne in Burgundy where she embodies “Le Grand Courtage” – the great courtship – of old and new, French and American, and grapes from different terroirs.

As most French bubbly is very traditional when it comes to branding, packaging and flavor profile, we saw an opportunity to create a sparkling wine nuanced for the American consumer: a memorable name, a timeless but contemporary package, and a dry, crisp, yet fruit forward wine with very balanced flavors. We believe by accomplishing this and creating a cuisine, cocktail and consumer friendly wine that offers an exceptional price-to-value ratio, we have a product with undeniably strong marketability and consumer appeal.

Our motto is ‘Embrace Life. Dream Big. Accept all Invitations.‘ and to that end our goal is to provide an affordable luxury that is perfect for “courting life” and celebrating its special occasions, as well as all of the simple every day moments in between.

So whether you’re celebrating with family, or spending a romantic evening in front of the fireplace, Le Grand Courtage is sure to add some sparkle. Le Grand Courtage offers so many fun ways to celebrate – from etched and personalized bottles, to their Birthday Club, Wedding and Bachelorette Favors, you’re sure to find a reason for merriment! Who wouldn’t enjoy receiving a beautifully packaged bottle of French Champagne to toast their birthday?

I didnt know Grand Courtage until now – I will look for it! I just put a bottle of Tattinger’s in the fridge to go with Mark’s birthday dessert: homemade Mozartkugeln!

How lucky were you to be sent these lovely samples to try!

    Merry Christmas, dear friends!

How nice, Susan. Your cheese and olive platter I have seen before but it still, demonstrating your good taste, continues to make me smile. How lucky John’s family was to be able to gather at your house to celebrate Christmas and the holiday season. I have to think that there was a toast or two given to honor the memory of John’s mother.
